NEW YORK — September 15, 2015 – BET Networks announced today a new partnership with Black&Sexy TV to bring its online programming to network television.  Black&Sexy TV, headed by Dennis Dortch and Numa Perrier, made its debut in 2011 as digital entertainment and lifestyle network that coined the phrase "Independent TV" while creating a slate of programming focused on a young, progressive, Black audience.

“BET is always looking for innovative ways to bring content to the channel that suits our audience,” says Pete Danielsen, the Executive Vice President of Program Planning, Scheduling and Acquisitions.  “We noticed Black&Sexy TV has a dedicated fan base, and their fans’ obsession for this content mirrors the obsession our audience has for BET and our content.”

Black&Sexy TV kicks off its television series premiere of “RoomieLoverFriends” on Wednesday, September 16 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.  The four episode series documents the awkward relationship between roommates, Tamiko and Jay, whose relationship gets complicated once they find themselves in bed together one evening.  The series will air over four consecutive weeks, as 60 minute episodes.  “RoomieLoverFriends” stars Shayla Hale, Andra Fuller and Yaani King.  The series was created and written by Dennis Dortch & Numa Perrier; Directed by Dennis Dortch.

Black&Sexy TV on BET will also include the network premieres of two additional series: “Sexless,” a series about female friends who balance no sex with finding real relationships and “Hello Cupid,” about a young, dark skinned woman as she switches her online dating profile picture with that of her lighter skinned best friend to see how her suitors respond.   The franchise also consists of feature films such as “That Guy: The Movie,” a comedy about two twenty something men and their best female friend trying to deal with growing up.
