CBS Stations Nationwide Honored for their Excellence in Journalism, Innovation and Storytelling

LOS ANGELES – June 1, 2026 – CBS Television Stations has been honored with 14 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awardsby the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), recognizing the stations’ outstanding achievement in broadcast and digital journalism across multiple markets.

Recipients of the 2026 Regional Murrow Awards went to CBS News California Investigates(3)CBS Boston(1)CBS Colorado(2)CBS Miami(1), with CBS Chicago(6)and CBS Pittsburgh(1)earning “Overall Excellence”– one of the highest honors a news organization can receive.

It is also redefining local storytelling with augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) news studios, delivering immersive experiences across weather, sports, breaking news and features.

The RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Award recognizes both local and national news stories that demonstrate technical expertise, uphold the journalism RTDNA Code of Ethics and exemplify journalism’s impact on communities. The awards span across multiple categories, including investigative reporting, feature reporting, innovation, and overall excellence.
