ELITA FIELDER ADJEI NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS FOR CBS STATIONS

Elita Fielder Adjei, an experienced media communications executive, has been named vice president of communications for CBS Stations.

In this new role, Adjei will support CBS Stations leadership across the Company’s 27 owned television stations in 17 major U.S. markets, working closely with Adrienne Roark, president of content development and integration for CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures; Jennifer Mitchell, president of CBS Stations; and Mike Nelson, senior vice president of communications for CBS Stations; as well as general managers, news directors and on-air talent across the station group’s broadcast and streaming platforms.

Adjei brings to CBS Stations an extensive background in local television stations, national television networks, as well as years of leading communications and publicity in diverse industries that include the sports, healthcare and energy sectors.

Most recently, Adjei served as vice president of corporate communications at Disney General Entertainment, overseeing National Geographic content’s internal and external communications, issues management/crisis communications and executive communications.

Previously, Adjei was the director of publicity and communications at Disney’s ABC Owned Television Stations group, where she was the primary strategic communications leader and advisor to the division’s president and the leadership teams at each of the company’s stations. She also spearheaded the development and communications strategies for ABC’s race and culture content team, data journalism initiatives, docuseries publicity campaigns and more.

Adjei earned a master’s degree in strategic communications from Ashland University and a bachelor’s in journalism from California State University, Long Beach. She is based in Los Angeles.
