“Face the Nation” Remains the Season’s Most-Watched Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program

FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show across the board on April 3, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.0 million viewers for the week, 560,000 in adults 25-54 and 326,000 in women 25-54.

FACE THE NATION delivered its best numbers in the key adults 25-54 demographic in 9 weeks, and its best in the women 25-54 demographic in 13 weeks. FACE THE NATION also had its best share among ABC and NBC in viewers and adults since January 2022, and its best in women 24-54 in seven years since the April 27, 2015 broadcast.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +379,000 viewers), and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s exclusive Sunday show interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The broadcast also included Brennan’s interviews with former National Security Council senior director for European and Russian affairs, Fiona Hill; former national security adviser and CBS News foreign policy and national security contributor, H.R. McMaster; Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD); and New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Sunday’s broadcast featured CBS News’ Holly Williams reporting from Dnipro, Ukraine, on the horrific scenes Ukrainian forces are discovering in towns retaken from retreating Russian forces around Kyiv.
