CBS This Morning: Saturday” Was the Only Broadcast Network Saturday Morning News Program to Post Audience Increases Versus Last Year

Cut the Gap Between Its Competitors to the Smallest Levels Ever

CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY finished the season with its largest audience in four years and was the only broadcast network Saturday morning news program to post audience increases year-to-year. Additionally, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY cut the gap with “Saturday Today” and “Good Morning America Saturday” to its lowest level ever, according to Nielsen’s most current ratings.

For the full 2019-2020 season, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY delivered 2.06 million viewers with 461,000 of them adults 25-54, the demographic most desired by those who advertise in news. CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY was up +5% in total viewers when compared to last year, while “Saturday Today” fell -7% and “Good Morning America Saturday” dipped -3%.

CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY cut the gap among total viewers with “Saturday Today” by 37% and “Good Morning America Saturday” by 16% to its smallest levels since its debut in 2012. In addition, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY cut the gap on the key adults 25-54 demo by 29% vs “Saturday Today” and 6% against “Good Morning America Saturday.”
