CBS News and Stations will continue its ongoing multiplatform coverage of the 2022 midterm primaries tonight, Tuesday, August 23, with live special coverage anchored by CBS News chief political analyst John Dickerson on the CBS News Streaming Network, beginning at 9:00 PM, ET. Dickerson will be joined by CBS News correspondents and CBS Stations reporters, along with analysts and contributors for coverage of the primaries in Florida as well as the New York congressional primaries and special elections. Coverage will also include analysis and context around voter sentiment fueled by the latest CBS News polling ahead of the midterm elections in November. The team will also cover the impact President Biden and former President Trump are having on the races, the number of election deniers running for office, as well as the issues that are animating voters, including the economy, abortion, crime and safety and ongoing threats to democracy in the United States.

Dickerson will anchor tonight’s special from Washington joined by senior White House and political correspondent Ed O’Keefe, congressional correspondent Nikole Killion and political correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns. Chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa will be reporting live from West Palm Beach, with correspondent Enrique Acevedo joining from Miami and congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane in New York. Political contributor Joel Payne and political analyst Leslie Sanchez will also join the program to offer additional analysis.

CBS News elections and surveys director Anthony Salvanto will be in New York on the interactive board pulling context from the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker, which explains what’s on voters’ minds and will provide regular detailed snapshots of the 2022 midterm elections in every state and district throughout the 2022 campaign.

Tonight’s national streamed coverage will also include reporting by Marcia Kramer from WCBS in New York and Jim DeFede from WFOR in Miami. Also, Kramer will report for WCBS during the station’s evening newscasts, sister station WLNY’s 9:00 PM, ET news and throughout the evening on the CBS News New York streaming channel. And DeFede will contribute to WFOR’s evening newscasts, a primary election night special on the CBS News Miami streaming channel from 7:30-8:30 PM, ET and sister station WBFS’ 9:00 PM, ET news.
