CBS EVENING NEWS WITH TONY DOKOUPIL is CBS News' flagship evening broadcast. Anchored by Tony Dokoupil, the CBS EVENING NEWS is America’s longest-running network newscast originally launched nearly 80 years ago as CBS TV NEWS. The first network evening news program to go from the conventional 15-minute format to 30 minutes in 1963 becoming the iconic CBS EVENING NEWS WITH WALTER CRONKITE. Today, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH TONY DOKOUPIL covers the world's biggest issues and news that hit close to home for Americans — ranging from politics, education, technology, crime, consumer news, health, weather, sports and entertainment to inspirational stories.
