CBS NEWS WINS FOUR GRACIE AWARDS FROM THE ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN IN MEDIA FOUNDATION
The Work of Norah O’Donnell, Gayle King, Sharyn Alfonsi and Lesley Stahl Honored with One of the Leading Women’s Journalism Awards
CBS News has been honored with four Gracie Awards from the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, which recognizes individual achievement and programming by, for and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.
“These awards are a remarkable achievement and recognize the breadth and scope of CBS News’ focus on immersive storytelling across all platforms,” said Susan Zirinsky, President and Senior Executive Producer of CBS News.
CBS EVENING NEWS anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell earned the Outstanding News Anchor [ Radio - Nationally Syndicated Commercial] honor, for her CBS News Radio program CBS NEWS ON THE HOUR WITH NORAH O’DONNELL.
CBS THIS MORNING co-host Gayle King’s primetime special THE GAYLE KING INTERVIEW WITH R. KELLY produced in partnership with 48 HOURS earned the Special or Variety [TV - National] Gracie Award for CBS News.
60 MINUTES correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi earned the On-Air Talent – News or News Magazine [TV - National] Gracie Award.
60 MINUTES’ report “The Chibok Girls,” reported by correspondent Lesley Stahl, earned the News Magazine [TV - National] Gracie Award.
