“60 MINUTES” IS #2
MAKES THE TOP 10 FOR THE 21ST TIME IN A ROW
Makes the Top 10 in Key Demos
60 MINUTES drew 10.04 million viewers on Sunday, making it America’s #2 primetime program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 7. It was the 21st consecutive time the CBS Newsmagazine made the list of America’s top 10 primetime programs.
The broadcast ranked at #3 or higher for 12 of those weeks, including the last five times. 60 MINUTES has finished at #5 or higher 16 times this season.
The newsmagazine was a top 10 broadcast in demos, scoring 1.3/07 in adults 25-54 and 0.8/06 in adults 18-49, tied for #7 and #8, respectively.
Compared to the same night last year, 60 MINUTES was up +7% in viewers and even in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
Sunday’s 60 MINUTES featured Scott Pelley’s report on how low wage earners have been disproportionally affected by the pandemic’s economic impact, Sharyn Alfonsi’s story on how an old antidepressant is getting a new look as a possible early treatment for COVID, and Bill Whitaker’s report on NASA’s Artemis program, which hopes to put a woman on the moon during this decade.
