CBS NEWS HONORED WITH 20 NATIONAL HEADLINER AWARDS

CBS News, CBS News Radio, “60 Minutes,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” the “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” and “48 Hours” Receive Honors

CBS News was recognized with 20 National Headliner Awards, it was announced today by the Press Club of Atlantic City. CBS News and CBS News Radio earned seven first-place honors and 13 second- and third-place honors in the 88th National Headliner Awards.

The National Headliner Awards program is one of the oldest and largest annual contests recognizing outstanding journalism in newspapers, photography, radio, television and online. The awards were founded in 1934 by the Press Club of Atlantic City. Click HERE for a full list of winners.

The CBS News first-place honorees this year are:

  • 60 MINUTES: “The Final Act” – Broadcast Television Networks, Cable Networks and Syndicators Feature, Sports or Human Interest – Anderson Cooper, Nichole Marks, David M. Levine and Robert Zimet
