CBS SUNDAY MORNING” DELIVERS ITS BEST AUDIENCE IN 21 WEEKS

CBS SUNDAY MORNING marked its 615th consecutive week as the #1 Sunday morning newscast and posted its best audience delivery in 21 weeks, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 11.

Sunday’s broadcast delivered 5.73 million viewers with 1.06 million of them in the adults 25-54 demographic. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +15% when compared to the same week a year ago. Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +5% over the previous year.

Jane Pauley anchored Sunday’s broadcast, which featured David Pogue’s report on the challenges of people fighting for the right to fix products they own. Also on the broadcast, Mo Rocca looked at the ongoing controversy over statues and monuments. Tracy Smith interviewed New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his three daughters. Ramy Inocencio reported on what China did to control the COVID-19 outbreak, and why so few died compared to the United States.

Additionally, Lee Cowan caught up with rock legend Jon Bon Jovi. Jim Axelrod looked at the history of presidents on the golf course. Nicholas Thompson of Wired magazine evaluated the facts behind conspiracy theories driving QAnon and other controversial movements. John Dickerson of 60 MINUTES reported the latest in the race for the White House. And comedian Paul Mecurio weighed in on President Trump’s – and his own – experience with COVID-19.
