TELEVISION'S LONGEST RUNNING DRAMA SERIES, "AS THE WORLD TURNS" AND "GUIDING LIGHT," RENEWED THROUGH 2006-07 SEASON FOR BROADCAST ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

LOS ANGELES -- The CBS Television Network has secured the broadcast rights for the Emmy Award-winning AS THE WORLD TURNS (ATWT) and GUIDING LIGHT (GL) through the 2006-07 season, it was announced by Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment and Mary Alice Dwyer-Dobbin, Executive-In-Charge of Production for Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc.

A true American treasure, GUIDING LIGHT has entertained radio and television fans for more than 67 years, beginning its early days on radio in 1937 and transitioning into the world of television in 1952. GUIDING LIGHT received 13 Emmy nominations this year including nods for Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series.Created by legendary television producing and writing couple William and Lee Phillip Bell, B&B was nominated in 2004 for a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Daytime Drama Series. The show is the second most watched daytime drama averaging 3.93 million viewers daily.

AS THE WORLD TURNS will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year as the show continues to deliver passion, drama and romance, making it one of the best stories in daytime. AS THE WORLD TURNS was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in both 2004 and 2005.
