A RENOWNED LITERARY AGENT WANTS TO TRANSFORM A RELUCTANT MAX INTO A SUPERSTAR AUTHOR, ON "THE EDUCATION OF MAX BICKFORD," APRIL 21

Maury Povich Makes a Cameo Appearance as Himself And Jay Thomas Reprises His Role as Prof. Zobowski

"The Egg and I" -- A renowned literary agent wants to transform Max into a superstar author but Max is uncomfortable with her suggestions, on THE EDUCATION OF MAX BICKFORD, Sunday, April 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Michael Fields directed the episode that was written by Grace McKeaney from a story by McKeaney and Kate Milliken.

Guest star Marsha Mason reunites with Richard Dreyfuss, who both starred in the "The Goodbye Girl" 25 years ago (the role won Dreyfuss an Academy Award). Maury Povich makes a cameo appearance as himself, and Jay Thomas reprises his role as Professor Jerry Zobowski.

Andrea thinks Max is crazy not to immediately sign with the highly influential Lilith Bigelow (Mason), but Max is uncomfortable with Lilith's demands that he dress better, slim down to look younger -- and take a hiatus from his work/home life for a cross-country promotional book tour. Meanwhile, Jerry Zobowski's (Thomas) new financially successful Website, takebackyourpants.com, which champions a return to male chauvinism, lands him an interview on Maury Povich's daytime talk-show and an invitation from Andrea to explain himself in front of her Pioneering Women's class. Also, Lester and a female classmate must "baby sit" an egg as if it's their child, and Nell contemplates selling some of her reproductive eggs.
