"SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS" DOMINATES TIME PERIOD IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
"The Amazing Race 2" Scores Best Wednesday Delivery In Households, Viewers and Adults 25-54 And Best Delivery of Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 Ever
Dynamic Reality Duo Leads CBS to Victory For the Night in Viewers and All Key Demographics
SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS dominated its time period and THE AMAZING RACE 2 delivered its best key demographic numbers ever and best Wednesday household and viewer totals, according to final National Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, March 20 on the CBS Television Network.
The dynamic duo of reality shows led the Network to victory for the night in viewers and all key demographics.
At 8:00 PM, SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS (12.6/20, 22.81m) was a distant first in households, viewers and key demographics -- 9.4/28 in adults 18-34, 9.5/26 in adults 18-49 and 10.5/26 in adults 25-54 -- beating NBC, ABC and FOX combined in adults 18-34 (9.4/28 vs. 7.2/22), adults 18-49 (9.5/26 vs. 8.7/24) and adults 25-54 (10.5/26 vs. 9.9/25). This is SURVIVOR MARQUESAS' best delivery in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 to date.
SURVIVOR enjoyed across the board gains from last week, up +10% in households, +21% among adults 18-34, +7% in adults 18-49, +9% in adults 25-54 and added an average of +2.35m viewers. At 8:30 PM, SURVIVOR grew +8% in households and added an average of +2.13m viewers while enjoying double-digit growth in key demographics: up +15% in adults 18-34 and +12% in both adults 18-49 and adults 24-54.
At 9:00 PM, THE AMAZING RACE 2 (7.8/12, 13.29m) scored the best delivery of any Wednesday edition in households, viewers and adults 25-54 ever and best delivery of any edition of the series in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. The RACE was first in the time period in adults 18-34 (5.9/16), adults 18-49 (6.1/15) and adults 25-54 (6.4/14) and a very close second in viewers (just -0.53m behind NBC) and households.
THE AMAZING RACE 2 traveled well from last week, up +7% in households, +20% in adults 18-34, +5% in adults 18-49, +3% in adults 25-54 and added an average of +790,000 viewers.
For the night: CBS was first in adults 18-34 (5.9/17), adults 18-49 (6.2/16), adults 25-54 (6.8/16) and viewers (14.81m) while a close second in households (8.7/14).
