CBS NEWS GARNERS AWARDS FOR BEST HEALTH AND WELLNESS VIDEO AND BEST NEWS & POLITICS SOCIAL VIDEO IN 26TH ANNUAL WEBBY AWARDS

CBS News has been honored with two 2022 Webby Awards, which were announced yesterday by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). 60 MINUTES OVERTIME and the CBS News social media team each received a Best of the Web Award for excellence in 2022.

60 MINUTES OVERTIME received the Webby Award for Best Video in the Health and Wellness category for “60 MINUTES OVERTIME: The Final Act” about Anderson Cooper witnessing Tony Bennett’s final performance.

The CBS News social media team won for Best Social Video in the News and Politics category for “Black Lives Matter Around the World: The Global Impact of George Floyd.”

The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), are the leading international awards honoring excellence on the internet. The Webby Awards received more than 14,000 entries from all 50 states and over 70 countries worldwide in 2022.

CBS News will be honored at the Webby Awards ceremony on Monday, May 16, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
