“48 HOURS” IS SATURDAY’S #1 PRIMETIME PROGRAM WITH VIEWERS

48 HOURS: “The 30-Year Secret – The Tracey Harris Murder” was Saturday’s #1 primetime program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, Jan. 23.
The broadcast delivered 2.95 million viewers, a 0.5/03 with adults 25-54 and a 0.4/03 with adults 18-49. 48 HOURS added +520,000 viewers (from 2.43m, +22%) and was up +33% with adults 18-49 (from 0.3/02) compared to the previous week.
Saturday’s broadcast featured 48 HOURS and correspondent Maureen Maher’s report on the life of Tracey Harris, a hard-working, loving young mother from Ozark, Ala. and the investigation into her 1990 murder. Nearly 30 years later, the man long suspected as her killer was arrested. But just before trial, a confession turned the case upside down. Saturday’s broadcast included the first television interview with the woman, Dawn Beasley, who changed the outcome of the case; the longtime suspect, Harris’ ex-husband Carl Harris; and their daughter, Carolyn Aznavour.
