CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” WAS #1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR SUNDAY, DEC. 8

For a second consecutive week, CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was #1 in total viewers among the Sunday morning public affairs shows on Sunday, Dec. 8, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION scored 3.103 million viewers and delivered 612,000 viewers in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news.
The Dec. 8 broadcast was the first out of the new state-of-the-art studio at the CBS News Washington bureau. The broadcast kicked off with an interview with Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff, followed by interviews with Rep. Mark Meadows and White House National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien. The show featured a discussion with former U.S. Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal themed around his new book, Impeach: The Case Against Donald Trump.
Editor’s note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 69.44% of the CBS affiliates.
