CBS News’ MEGHAN AND HARRY PLUS ONE was Friday’s #1 program at 8:00 PM with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Friday, May 17. The broadcast averaged 4.98 million viewers and a 0.8/04 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.

MEGHAN AND HARRY PLUS ONE was up +8% in viewers compared to the time period on the same night a year ago.

Friday’s one-hour special was hosted by CBS THIS MORNING’s Gayle King and offered a rare, intimate look at one of the most famous new families on the planet.

In May 2018, the courtship and star-studded wedding of Prince Harry and Markle captured the attention of the world. Close friends of Meghan Markle opened up about their friend’s marriage, motherhood and more. The special examined the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they take on a new title: mom and dad. Their newborn son, Archie, is seventh in line to the throne and making history as the first British-American, biracial baby born into the British royal family.
