“60 MINUTES” LISTINGS FOR SUNDAY, NOV. 1, 2015
HEROIN IN THE HEARTLAND -- Today, the faces of heroin are young, middle to upper class and suburban. Their parents are shocked when they find out. But it’s not just young people. It’s all ages and it’s happening across the U.S. Bill Whitaker reports from Ohio. Tom Anderson and Michelle St John are the producers.
SMART GUNS -- Smart gun technology – allowing guns to only fire in the hands of their owners – is not new. And yet, these guns are not mass-produced or sold in the United States, in part because of fears they are a back-door to greater gun control. Lesley Stahl reports. Shachar Bar-On is the producer.
THE SLAVE SHIP -- Scott Pelley goes to Mozambique Island, once a center for the slave trade, where Portugal built a fort to defend their trade and to hold slaves before putting them aboard ships for the New World. There, teams from the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Slave Wrecks Project locate underwater remains of one of those ships. Nicole Young is the producer.
