NTRA SUMMER RACING TOUR CROSSES THE FINISH LINE

CBS Sports Spectacular gallops into its final coverage of the NTRA SUMMER RACING TOUR on Saturday, July 5 (5:00-6:00 PM, ET) with the Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y., the Firecracker BC Handicap at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kt., and the American Oaks from Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif. The featured horses at the Suburban Handicap are Mineshaft, winning second at the Stephen Foster Handicap and tied for fifth place in the World Thoroughbred Rankings of the Classic Division, and Harlan's Harley who is close behind in the Classic Division rankings, tied for ninth place. The one-mile Firecracker BC Handicap should be a close turf race between Classic Par, Pass Rush and Rock Slide. The American Oaks is getting off to a great start. The 1 and ¼-miles turf race that started two years ago should show a supreme competition among some of horse racing's elite. Horses to watch are Personal Legend, trained by Bobby Frankel, Atlantic Ocean, Go For Glamour, and already famous in Europe, Welcome Millennium and Golden Nephi. Calling the action from Hollywood Park is Gary Seibel, Randy Moss and Acton Breeder. Jay Primal will report from Belmont Park and Kurt Hoover will report from Churchill Downs. Chris Swenson will produce and Bob Fishman will direct. Tony Petitti is Executive Producer, CBS Sports.

CART LIGHTS IT UP IN CLEVELAND
CBS Sports brings the cameras to Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday, July 6 (3:30-6:30 PM, ET,TAPE) as Musco Lighting lights up the track with the BRIDGESTONE PRESENTS CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES Powered by FORD. THE CHAMP CAR GRAND PRIX OF CLEVELAND will be the first night-time road race in the 90-plus year history of American Championship Car racing but the task will not be easy. The race takes place at Burke Lakefront Airport, an active airport, which gives the Musco Lighting (Iowa-based company) a significant challenge with the size and limited amount of time to setup and breakdown the lighting at the airport. Cart Series point leader Paul Tracy looks to keep Bruno Junqueira and Michael Jourdian Jr. racing to catch him for the lead in the point standings. Bob Varsha and Tommy Kendall call the action, along with reporters Derek Daly and Calvin Fish. Bryan Lilley is Coordinating Producer. Tony Petitti is Executive Producer, CBS Sports.
