Sue McNamara has been named Senior Vice President of Sales for CBS RADIO, one of the country's largest major-market radio operators.  The newly-created position was announced today by Michael Weiss, President of Sales, CBS RADIO, and is effective on Monday, Nov. 26.

McNamara will help drive national and local sales for the division with an emphasis on procuring new business, and advancing the relationships between CBS RADIO and its key clients.  She joins CBS RADIO from Interep where she currently serves as Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS RADIO Sales, a position she has held since 2005.

"Sue is a very driven individual who is extremely passionate about the radio industry and its capabilities," said Weiss.  "Without question, she is the best in the business at developing and maintaining relationships with her colleagues and the agencies and clients with which she works.  And she excels at being able to adapt to changes in the media landscape and advertiser needs.  Having worked closely with her for many years, I can personally attest to her abilities and know she will be a great asset to CBS RADIO and the efforts of the sales division."

At Interep, McNamara manages an 80 person sales team and represents half of CBS RADIO's 144 stations in conjunction with overseeing national sales for many of CBS RADIO's most popular morning drive shows.  For 10 years prior, McNamara was New York Manager for Infinity Radio Sales (now CBS RADIO Sales) where she worked with some of the most popular CBS RADIO stations such as K-ROCK, 1010 WINS and WFAN.

McNamara began her career in 1986 as a Sales Assistant with Durpetti & Associates and advanced to a senior level sales position with D&R Radio Sales.  She later was named Senior Account Executive at Group W Radio Sales.
