CBS NEWS PRODUCTIONS/CBS EYE TOO PRODUCTIONS

DESCRIPTION: The production companies within CBS News that create and distribute a diverse mix of original nonfiction and reality-style programming for domestic and international markets, including network and cable television, home video, DVD, audio books and in-flight, as well as schools and libraries. CBS News Productions and CBS Eye Too Productions produce programs across a wide spectrum of genres, from history to science to entertainment.

RECENT HOME VIDEO: "Let Freedom Ring" and "George W. Bush: Election and Inauguration" (MPI); "United States History: Post-World War II" series of educational videos (Schlessinger Educational Media); and "Walter Cronkite Remembers" (Reader's Digest).

SELECTED PAST PROJECTS: "Countdown to the Grammys" (King World syndication); "A Century of Country" 13-part series and 52 interstitials (TNN); "Legendary Hangouts" and "Big Eats" (Food Network); "Vital Breakthroughs" series and "Discovery Health News" minutes (Discovery Health); "L.A. Story: Bank Heists" and "Travel Greats" (Travel); and "This Week in History" (The History Channel).

AWARDS: CBS News Productions won a Grammy Award in 1998 for Best Spoken Word Album for "Charles Kuralt's Spring," a collaboration with Simon & Schuster. Programs produced by the unit have been nominated for numerous Emmy and CableACE Awards.
