MARC ROSENWASSER IS NAMED A SENIOR PRODUCER <br />FOR THE "CBS EVENING NEWS"
Marc Rosenwasser has been named Senior Producer, CBS EVENING NEWS WITH BOB SCHIEFFER, it was announced today by Rome Hartman, the broadcast's executive producer. Rosenwasser's appointment is effective July 17.
Most recently, Rosenwasser spent 16 years at NBC News, where he served as Executive Editor (2001-05) and Senior Broadcast Producer (1994-2001) of "Dateline" and as Executive Producer of "Tom Brokaw Reports" (2001-05). Before that, he spent seven years as a writer and producer for ABC News' "World News Tonight," "Primetime Live," and the news division's documentary unit (1982-90). Rosenwasser began his career as a correspondent for the Associated Press (1975-82), where he worked for seven years, including two in its Moscow bureau.
Rosenwasser has received 22 Emmy Awards, two Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards and one George Foster Peabody Award.
He was born in New York City. Rosenwasser was graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in history. He received a Master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He lives in New York City and has a grown son.
