"MARC ANTHONY: I'VE GOT YOU," THE INTERNATIONAL POP/SALSA SUPERSTAR'S FIRST NETWORK TELEVISION SPECIAL, TO BE BROADCAST JULY 12 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

International pop/salsa superstar Marc Anthony headlines in his first network television special, MARC ANTHONY: I'VE GOT YOU, to be broadcast Friday, July 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The new entertainment special, which will be taped at The Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, will feature performances by the Grammy Award-winning music sensation, including songs from his just-released second English language album, Mended. He will also perform songs from his self-titled triple platinum album, Marc Anthony.

Among the songs included in the special are "I Need You," the first single from "Mended," "Everything You Do," "I've Got You," "Hasta Que Vuelvas Conmigo," "You Sang To Me" and "I Need To Know," his international breakthrough hit.

Not only has Marc Anthony sold more records than any other salsa artist, he has earned multi-platinum status with his self-titled English language album. That album, Marc Anthony, debuted at #8 on the Billboard charts and has since been certified triple-platinum. His other albums, Contra La Corriente, Todo a Su Tiempo as well as Marc Anthony, have all been awarded gold certification. "Contra La Corriente" won a Grammy Award for Best Latin/Tropical Performance in 1998. His latest salsa release, a greatest hits album, Desde El Principio: From the Beginning, held the #1 slot on the Billboard Latin 50 for seven weeks and was the #1 album for the year 2000 on that chart.

Most recently, Anthony released Mended, his second English language album whose first single, "I Need You," has already become a Top 5 adult contemporary radio hit. He has also starred on Broadway in Paul Simon's "The Capeman" and in the feature films "Bringing Out the Dead," "The Substitute" and "Hackers."
