Recent Launches in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago and Sacramento Already Featuring SuperPages.com's Content
The Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group is working with Verizon SuperPages.com to bring yellow pages and directory listings to CBS stations' newly designed websites as part of the previously announced "Always On" digital media initiative. Verizon SuperPages.com, the most advanced Internet yellow pages, will supply site visitors with extensive yellow pages and directory services, as well as local business listings and enhanced content at each of the Viacom Television Station's websites.
"Viacom provides news and information on its Websites, and SuperPages.com is the best information source for local information, businesses, shopping, services, products and residential listings," said Robyn Rose, Director - eCommerce Marketing, Verizon SuperPages.com. "Together, SuperPages.com and Viacom will give online users accurate and thorough local news and information."
"Consumers are increasingly turning to the internet to seek directory services and business listings," said Jonathan Leess, President and General Manager, Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group. "We are pleased to be able to combine Verizon's content with our local news, weather, sports, entertainment, traffic, shopping and other advertiser supported content to provide our local station site users with a one-stop shop for all of their web-based needs."
The group plans to re-launch websites for all of its CBS stations, including Pittsburgh (kdka.com) and Dallas (cbs11tv.com) in November. The station websites in Salt Lake City (kutv.com), Minneapolis (wcco.com), Denver (cbs4denver.com), San Francisco (cbs5.com), Chicago (cbs2chicago.com), Baltimore (wjz.com), New York (wcbstv.com), Philadelphia (kyw.com), Boston (cbs4boston.com), Sacramento (cbs13.com), and most recently, Green Bay (wfrv.com), have already launched. In total, 17 CBS stations will re-launch their websites in 2005, followed by UPN stations in 2006.
