CBS News will broadcast and cover President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress and the Democratic response on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, across all shows and platforms.

CBS News will have comprehensive all-day coverage featuring live reporting and analysis from CBS News’ Washington and political teams across all day parts. Coverage will begin on CBS MORNINGS at 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM ET with co-host Tony Dokoupil anchoring the broadcast from Washington D.C. Dokoupil’s reporting will continue on CBS MORNINGS PLUS starting at 9:00 AM ET. On CBS News 24/7 Major Garrett will anchor live coverage leading up to the president’s address from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, ET and 7:30 – 9:00 PM, ET. Lindsey Reiser will anchor a special edition of THE DAILY REPORT on CBS News 24/7 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, ET.

From 9:00 – 11:00 PM, ET, John Dickerson, Maurice DuBois and Margaret Brennan will anchor primetime special coverage across all platforms as the Network simulcasts President Trump’s address and the Democratic response. Coverage will continue past 11:00 PM, ET on CBS News 24/7, when Anthony Salvanto will contribute CBS News polling and instant reaction from Americans to the president’s speech and the Democratic response.

Across platforms, the CBS News team will contribute reporting and analysis before and after the president’s address, including Major Garrett, Robert Costa, Nancy Cordes, Weijia Jiang, Ed O’Keefe, Nikole Killion, Caitlin Huey-Burns, Scott MacFarlane, Fin Gómez, Camilo Montoya-Galvez and Taurean Small.

CBS News Radio will deliver anchored long form coverage of the presidential address and the Democratic response from approximately 9:00 – 10:58 PM, ET, anchored by Michael Wallace. He will be joined by Linda Kenyon, Stacy Lyn on Capitol Hill, and other CBS News correspondents and contributors. CBS News Radio will also offer special reports throughout the evening and the next morning of Wednesday, March 5.

CBS Newspath will have around-the-clock coverage of the address for its 200+ stations, affiliates and clients. Natalie Brand and Erica Brown will report from the Capitol from 4:00 AM, ET on March 4 through 10:00 AM, ET on March 5 with live shots and regularly updated packages.
