HAUNTED BY A CHILDHOOD MEMORY, JEFFRIES PERSUADES THE TEAM
TO RE-EXAMINE THE 1963 MURDER OF A 15-YEAR-OLD BOY,
ON A REBROADCAST OF "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, OCT. 30
"Strange Fruit" -- Still haunted by a childhood memory, Jeffries prompts the team to re-open the 1963 murder of a 15-year-old black boy, Zeke, found beaten to death in a schoolyard, on a rebroadcast of COLD CASE, Sunday, Oct. 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Paris Barclay directed from a script by Veena Sud. (Originally broadcast 4/3/05)
As the case take shape, Jeffries and Rush learn that even though Zeke and his parents were victims of racism in their new neighborhood, the head-strong teenager made friends with his white neighbors, much to the dismay of others. As a result, a number of potential suspects emerge.
