CIA ALUM AND CYBERSECURITY EXPERT ANDREW BOYD NAMED CBS NEWS CONTRIBUTOR

Andrew Boyd has been named a CBS News contributor. As a contributor, Boyd brings decades of experience in intelligence gathering and counterterrorism operations, having worked across the CIA and State Department. He was most recently a senior intelligence service officer in the Central Intelligence Agency’s directorate of operations. Boyd was interviewed on the CBS News Streaming Network about the possible U.S. response to the deadly drone attack on a base in Jordan.
Boyd has experience leading worldwide intelligence operations and has in-depth knowledge of geopolitics, cyber operations, security practices and risk mitigation. He is a respected thought leader within the United States government’s cyber and intelligence communities with expertise in cyber threats, intelligence collection, covert action, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, cyber operations and strategic analysis.
Boyd’s most recent assignment was directing the CIA’s Center for Cyber Intelligence (CCI), which is responsible for intelligence collection, analysis and operations focused on foreign cyber threats to U.S. interests. In this role, he collaborated with the White House, Congress and senior officials from the departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the FBI and an array of senior foreign partners from across the globe.
