KEITH CUTLER NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF ADVERTISING SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, VIACOM TELEVISION STATIONS DIGITAL MEDIA GROUP
SAYOKO KNIGHT NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, ADVERTISING SALES OPERATIONS
The Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group has named Keith Cutler Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales and Business Development, and Sayoko Knight Vice President, Advertising Sales Operations, it was announced today by Jonathan Leess, President of the new division. In these new roles, Cutler will oversee all revenue-generating activities for the station group's interactive ventures. Knight will work alongside Cutler in managing all Internet sales operations. They will work in tandem with Tom Kane, President of Sales for the Viacom Television Stations Group.
"Our 'Always On' launch has been incredibly successful, and I'm confident that bringing Keith on board to oversee our sales efforts will advance us to the next level," said Leess. "He is a media all star who brings 23 years of experience in working with Fortune 100 companies to our group. He has spent the last year as CEO of his own company, which developed marketing, media and sponsorship activities for blue chip clients, as well as crafting integrated media opportunities for sports and entertainment properties. Keith has experience in virtually every field of our industry, including print, broadcast and the Internet, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to grow our presence in the cyber world."

Cutler previously ran his own company, Keith Cutler Strategic Marketing, Media and Sponsorship Consultancy, whose clients included Genworth Financial Services (previously GE Financial), Classic Media (which hired Cutler to develop a sales strategy to license its TV characters to sports teams/ leagues and entertainment properties) and in 2002-03, he consulted fulltime for Princeton Video Image (which hired Cutler to develop sales and marketing strategies to share advertising revenue with TV networks and syndicators).
Before founding his own consultancy firm, Cutler served as Senior Vice President, National Partnerships for the Ladies Professional Golf Association, where he created the organization's corporate sponsorship department. Before that, he was Executive Vice President, Sports Sales and Marketing for Turner Broadcasting Sales, where he was responsible for $300 million in advertising and sponsorship revenue, in addition to managing a 60 person sales team and five regional offices. He also was a key member of the USA Today launch team of "Baseball Weekly," where he served as Publisher, and he also served as a member of the 12-person USA Today Management Committee.. Before helping to launch "Baseball Weekly," Cutler served as Director, Sports and Event Marketing for USA Today. He also worked as Sports Marketing Director/ Western Region for Rogers Merchandising/ Miller Sports Group, and as an Account Supervisor for W.B. Doner Advertising.
Knight was most recently Director, Client Services, Partner Marketing for Cendant Travel Distribution Services Group, where she was overseeing all advertising operations and sales support for a network of over 13 websites, including Orbitz.com, CheapTickets.com and the Away Network. Before that, she was a key member of the e-Commerce team for Worldspan, where she was responsible for developing a business partner program for third party software vendors and developing a strategic product direction for the corporate travel procurement product, Trip Manager. Previously, she completed a management program for Alaska Airlines, completing various roles in the airline's strategic planning group, including revenue management, pricing, schedule planning and new route analysis.
The Viacom Television Stations Group now consists of 40 stations, including 21 CBS, 16 UPN and three stations not affiliated with the major networks. The group owns multiple stations in 10 markets.
