CBS News And Stations Wins Six Edward R. Murrow Awards

KOVR-TV Receives One National Press Club Honor

CBS News and Stations won multiple prestigious journalism awards, Thursday. CBS News and Stations picked up six Edward R. Murrow Awards for Excellence in Journalism from the Radio Television Digital News Association and one honor from the National Press Club.

In the Edward R. Murrow Awards, CBS News Radio earned two, including Overall Excellence, while 60 MINUTES, CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the CBS EVENING NEWS with NORAH O’DONNELL, and WBBM-TV each earned one apiece.

And in the National Press Club Awards, CBS-owned KOVR-TV Sacramento won the Consumer Journalism-Broadcast Award.

Hard News – CBS SUNDAY MORNING: “Shots Fired”

Investigative Reporting ­– 60 MINUTES: “Prince v. Spy”

Excellence in Writing ­– THE CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL: “On The Road with Steve Hartman”

Newscast – CBS News Radio: “World News Roundup,” January 7, 2021

Overall Excellence – CBS News Radio

Investigative Reporting - WBBM-TV: “She’s Just Ten Years Old”

The National Press Club Awards winner is:

Consumer Journalism-Broadcast – KOVR-TV: “The COVID Lab: State Secrets Exposed.”
