Constance: When this happened it felt like my whole community turned against me, like the Asian-American community, and really wanted to shame me. So much to the point where one of my former Asian colleagues, an actress, DM’ed me and told me that I was a disgrace and a blight on the community and essentially she said that it would be better if I just didn’t exist.  And, I ended up almost killing myself, and I ended up in the psychiatric ER of the hospital because my friend found me and took me…Like I thought that I could handle it but it really made me re-evaluate everything I had been holding back for all those years in service of helping the Asian-American community. And it made me realize actually I think the Asian-American community needs to own up to its history of sexism, misogyny and patriarchal values because we don’t talk about that. Because all we’re talking about is positive representation, which is an illusion. Nobody is all positive, we need whole human representation.

Drew: I love your boldness, I love your bravery and I do believe that it will go out there and matriculate to other people, finding their courage, figuring out ways in which to put them that are cathartic, healthy channels.

Drew: As far as wanting what you want or needing your needs to be met is not wrong but there is too much of a laundry list, it’s like who’s ever gonna check all those boxes so I’m really into this ‘prioridating’ thing, I think it is so cool. It’s like no one’s gonna do everything or be everything so what is that thing?

Ross: Yeah but narrowing it down to one is impossible.

Drew: It is, because I would say emotionally stable. I know it sounds funny but it’s really what I want, and funny, and I’d like someone if they have a passion in life or a job.

Ross: Can I throw one out? I think the most important thing to look for in a partner is somebody who is kind and what that means is every aspect of kindness.

Ross: Yeah but they don’t care anymore. The stick pic is the new, ‘Hi, I’m Ross.’ That’s the thing, everyone just sends them.

Drew: Well, have you ever sent a stick pic?

Ross: No mam.

Drew:…Jill Kargman sent me this stick pic once of this guy. I can never get the image out of my head. I’m like, ‘Why did you send this to me?’ and then I went back and looked at it again.
