Denny Directo is a correspondent at ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, the #1 entertainment newsmagazine in the world. Known for his charisma, versatility, and deep understanding of pop culture, Directo has become a trusted voice in celebrity and entertainment reporting.

Directo began his career as a digital correspondent and producer for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT in 2010, helping shape the brand's social and digital presence. In 2019, he helped launch ET Live, anchoring livestream coverage of major award shows, and served as on-air talent for ET Más, a vertical spotlighting Latinx talent and stories. Named an on-air correspondent in 2022, Directo has since conducted headline making interviews with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Prince Harry, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Zendaya, and Ryan Gosling. A passionate advocate for representation and inclusion, he also hosted and produced ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’S first ever Pride special in 2020.

His contributions to ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT have earned him six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Daytime Personality Daily honors in 2024 and 2025.

Beyond ET, Directo has served as a presenter for the Joy Awards live red carpet show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the past two years, helping bring one of the region's biggest entertainment events to a global audience. He also made a guest appearance in the fourth season of HBO Max's Hacks, hosted the Recording Academy's official backstage livestream at the 2023 and 2024 GRAMMY Awards and CBS's official red carpet livestream at the Tony Awards in 2018 and 2019, guest hosted Revry TV's Culture Q, participated in It Gets Better's 10th anniversary campaign, 10 Years Better, interviewing LGBTQ+ changemakers and celebrities, and appeared on Tamron Hall, CBS Mornings, HLN, and CBS News Streaming, further expanding his presence across national broadcast and streaming platforms.

Directo is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and film & media studies.
