Biography

 

Sandra Allen is the co-executive producer of ADAM’S LAW, CBS Media Ventures’ new court program created by Judge Judy Sheindlin.

 

Most recently, Allen was co-executive producer of Tribunal Justice.  Previously, she was executive producer of Relative Justice and executive producer and show runner for

Cutler’s Court.  She was also a senior producer on Judge Steve Harvey on ABC. One of her shows was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. A veteran of the court genre, Allen, an Emmy award winner, has also been a senior producer on Judge Faith and produced Divorce Court, Judge Joe Brown and Swift Justice.  Her show on Swift Justice was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.  She has been nominated four times.

 

Allen has had extensive experience in the talk show world.  For two seasons, she was a senior producer on Iyanla: Fix My Life on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.  She also shot a Weight Watcher’s commercial with Winfrey at her home.  She also produced for The Real, Dr. Drew, TD Jakes, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and as a Senior Associate Producer on the launch of Dr. Phil.  Her first talk show in 1995, was as an Associate Producer on the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Leeza, starring Leeza Gibbons.  She was on the program for three seasons.

 

Allen started her career at CBS’ KPIX-TV in San Francisco, first as an intern, then as a producer on Bay Sunday.  She won an Emmy Award for an exclusive interview with Attallah Shabazz, Malcolm X’s oldest daughter in a program called “My Father, Malcolm X.”
