Matt Lauria is a dynamic and seasoned actor who stars as Boone in SHERIFF COUNTRY. He recently starred in J.J. Abrams’ period thriller “Duster” and in the second season of the sci-fi series “Western Outer Range” opposite Josh Brolin.
Lauria is perhaps best known for his breakout role as Luke Cafferty on “Friday Night Lights.” Additionally, Lauria played Ryan Wheeler in the critically acclaimed drama series “Kingdom,” and Joshua Folsom on CSI: VEGAS on the Network.
Additional television credits include “Dickinson,” “Tell Me a Story,” “Traitors,” “Into the Dark: Down,” “The Chicago Code,” “Parenthood,” “Lipstick Jungle,” “Burn Notice,” “The Forgotten” and “30 Rock.” He has also appeared in a number of films, including “To Leslie,” “80 for Brady,” “Son of Shaft” and “Miss Bala.”
On the stage, Lauria starred in Paul Down Calaizzo’s play “Really Really” at MCC and David Auburn’s “An Upset.”
Lauria was raised in Dublin, Ireland, and attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He is an avid electric guitarist. In 2006 he married fellow musician Michelle Armstrong.
