Executive Vice President, Head of Originals for Paramount+
Jane Wiseman serves as Head of Originals for Paramount+ where she is responsible for leading the development and production of the platform's expansive slate of original content including Landman, MobLand, The Madison, Dexter, Yellowjackets and recently greenlit series Discretion starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, 9/12 starring Jeremy Strong, and Fear Not starring Anne Hathaway.
Wiseman was recently honored by the Los Angeles “I Have a Dream” Foundation at the April 2026 Dream Big Gala, which celebrates local leaders who inspire the hopes and dreams of students while recognizing the extraordinary accomplishments of youth. She was also named to the prestigious Cablefax 100 list this year, honoring the leaders defining the media landscape.
Before Paramount+, Wiseman was Head of U.S. Television for the global independent studio SISTER in 2024, where she oversaw the company's TV division with a focus on developing and producing premium scripted series.
Wiseman was among the first executives hired to build out the Netflix Original Series team in 2014. As Vice President of Original Series and Head of Comedy, she was a driving force behind Netflix's global expansion into original content, helping launch some of the platform's most acclaimed and award-winning series, including Ozark, Narcos, Dead to Me, Russian Doll, Master of None, Never Have I Ever, Big Mouth, BoJack Horseman, The Kominsky Method, and Grace and Frankie. Over her seven-year tenure, she played a key role in scaling Netflix's internal studio and led the content strategy, P&L, and production of approximately 20 series launches per year while managing a team of creatives and overseeing executives across production, business affairs, and creative strategy and analysis. Under her leadership, Netflix received over 100 Emmy and 30 Golden Globe nominations, including Netflix's first Golden Globe win for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy with The Kominsky Method and Emmy wins for Director, Lead Actor, Supporting Actress (3x), Drama Series for Ozark, as well as Writing (2x), Comedy Series for Master of None.
Before Netflix, Wiseman served as SVP at Chernin Entertainment, where she worked on New Girl for FOX. She previously spent six years at NBC as SVP of Comedy, where she developed beloved hits like Parks and Rec and Community. Jane began her career at FOX, contributing to the development of the Emmy Award-winning Arrested Development and pop culture phenomenon The Simple Life.
Jane is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and resides in Los Angeles with her family.
