About "The Good Fight"
The story around Diane Lockhart, once again played by Christine Baranski, continues in "The Good Fight" as the main focus of the series. The plot picks up one year after the events of the finale of "The Good Wife". As Diane is leaving the law, her goddaughter, Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie), is beginning her career as a first year associate at Diane’s firm. But suddenly an enormous financial scandal caused by Maia’s parents, Lenore and Henry Rindell (Bernadette Peters and Paul Guilfoyle), brings down liberal Chicago. The scandal obliterates Diane's considerable fortune, forcing her to start from scrap again. It is only the kindness of Diane’s long-time legal rival, Adrian Boseman (Lindo) – who invites her to join Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, his all African American firm – that provides Diane hope. She convinces him to bring Maia on board as well, despite the skepticism of his partner, Barbara Kolstad (Tazel). At Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, Diane finds other familiar faces: Alicia Florrick’s former partner Lucca Quinn (Jumbo) – who is facing challenges of her own, including Colin Morrello (Bartha), the state’s attorney’s office’s rising star – and Marissa Gold (Steele). Despite finding themselves at the bottom, Diane and Maia are up for a fight – and things will get nasty.
Alongside showrunners and executive producers Michelle and Robert King, Phil Alden Robinson also co-wrote and executive produced the pilot episode. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross also serve as executive producers on Season 1. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. The series will be distributed worldwide by CBS Studios International.
