NICK MACRAE NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, LEGAL AND BUSINESS AFFAIRS, EMEA, CBS STUDIOS INTERNATIONAL
AMSTERDAM – July 11, 2017 – CBS Studios International announced today that Nick Macrae has been named Senior Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs, EMEA. In his new post, Macrae will be based at the Company’s EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam, reporting to Javier Avitia, Executive Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs, CBS Studios International.
In this role, Macrae will oversee the legal and business affairs for CBS in the region. He will guide CBS Studios International’s business and legal strategies that support distribution and programming operations, as well as advise the Company on regulatory issues. Macrae will also work closely with senior management on negotiating, drafting and reviewing a variety of agreements for licensing of CBS, SHOWTIME and The CW programming across the territory. CBS’ team of lawyers and contract administrators in Amsterdam will report to Macrae.

Prior to joining CBS Studios International, Macrae held several senior legal positions at Warner Brothers. These included Vice President, Business Legal Affairs, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, Warner Home Video and most recently, Senior Vice President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, where he was responsible for managing a team and handling business and legal affairs for the division across the EMEA region.
Macrae is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and began his career in private practice, as a trainee at Lawrence Graham London, before working at Clifford Chance as an associate in the corporate team. He has a BA in music from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in music theory and analysis from King’s College London, and he completed the Law Society Finals at the College of Law, London.
