ALIX JAFFE TO HEAD GREG GARCIA'S AMIGOS DE GARCIA PRODUCTIONS
Alix Jaffe has been named head of Greg Garcia's Amigos de Garcia Productions.
In this newly created position, Jaffe will be responsible for current and future development, beginning with the comedy THE MILLERS, Amigos de Garcia's first project for CBS Television Studios under a four-year deal signed last May. Jaffe will also serve as a producer on THE MILLERS, which premieres on the Network in the fall.
“As a current executive on the show ‘Yes Dear,’ I was always impressed with Alix's contributions to the show, and over the years she has remained not only a good friend but someone whose opinion I have always sought out and valued,” said Garcia. “She’s incredibly smart and funny, and I consider myself very lucky to have her in this position.”
Jaffe joins Amigos de Garcia Productions from CBS Entertainment where she had been Vice President, Current Programs since June 2004. There she oversaw all creative aspects for the drama UNDER THE DOME and BLUE BLOODS, the primetime comedies HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, and in late night, THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON.
Prior to that, Jaffe had been Director, Current Programs, CBS Entertainment, since November 2000, where she worked on the Network's East Coast-based programs in New York before relocating to Los Angeles in 2001.
Jaffe joined CBS in New York in January 1994 as Assistant Manager in the Network's promotion marketing department, working her way up to Director, Promotion Marketing and Events. Jaffe played an important role in the inaugural SURVIVOR marketing plan.
She earned a master of science degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
