RATINGS ROAR AGAIN WITH REPEAT OF TIGER VICTORY AS CBS SPORTS' COVERAGE OF 2007 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP RANKS AS FIFTH HIGHEST-RATED FINAL ROUND SINCE 1986

Tiger Woods Wins 13th Career Major Victory and Eighth on CBS Sports

            CBS Sports' final-round coverage of the 2007 PGA Championship on Sunday, Aug. 12, which saw Tiger Woods repeat his PGA Championship victory of a year ago to capture his 13th career major victory and eighth on the CBS Television Network, once again roared in the ratings by earning an average overnight household rating/share of 6.8/15, ranking it the fifth highest-rated final round of the PGA Championship in the metered markets since 1986.

           Overall, this year's 6.8/15 only trails 2000's 10.0/23 (Tiger's second PGA Championship win); 2002's 8.0/17 (Tiger's loss to Rich Beem by one stroke); 1999's 7.7/18 (Tiger's first PGA Championship win) and last year's 7.2/16 (Tiger's third PGA Championship win).

            This year's 6.8/15 also is the second best rating for the final round of the PGA Championship since 2002's 8.0/17 when Woods lost to Beem.  

               CBS Sports final-round coverage peaked with a rating/share of 9.4/19 between 6:30-7:00 PM, ET.

             CBS Sports' third-round coverage of the 2007 PGA Championship on Saturday, Aug. 11 earned a 4.6/12, which is the second-highest rating for third round coverage of the PGA Championship since 2002's 5.6/13 when coverage ran until 8:00 PM, ET.  This year's 4.6/12 trails only last year's 4.9/12.

           CBS Sports' two-day average for the 2007 PGA Championship earned an average household overnight rating/share of 5.7/14.

            Overall, this year's 5.7/14 ranks as the fifth-highest rating for the PGA Championship two-day average in the metered markets dating back to 1986.  This year's 5.7/14 trails 2000's 8.0/19 (Tiger's second PGA Championship win); 2002's 6.7/15 (Tiger's loss to Rich Beem by one stroke); 1999's 6.2/16 (Tiger's first PGA Championship win) and 2006's 6.0/14 (Tiger's third PGA Championship win).

           This year's 5.7/14 also is the second-best two-day average for the PGA Championship in the metered markets since a 6.7/15 in 2002.
