THE 4400 RETURNS FOR SEASON FOUR ON SUNDAY, JUNE 17 AT 9:00PM/8:00 CENTRAL

THE 4400, the critically-acclaimed series from CBS Paramount Network Television that chronicles the reappearance of 4400 people previously reported missing or dead, returns for a fourth season on Sunday, June 17 at 9:00PM/8:00 Central on USA Network.

THE 4400 premiered as a limited series on July 11, 2004 on USA Network as the highest-rated and most-watched new series premiere ever on a basic cable network. Last summer, the show ranked as the #1 original scripted series on cable in P25-54 with an average of 2 million viewers.  It was also one of the Top Five original series of the year in that demo.  THE 4400 received three Emmy nominations in its first season, including Outstanding Miniseries, as well as Outstanding Writing and Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie.

THE 4400 stars Joel Gretsch ("Taken") as Tom Baldwin, Jacqueline McKenzie ("Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood") as Diana Skouris, Patrick Flueger ("The Princess Diaries") as Shawn Farrell, Chad Faust ("CSI: Miami") as Kyle Baldwin, Megalyn Echikunwoke ("That '70s Show") as Isabelle Tyler, Conchita Campbell ("Scary Movie 4") as Maia Rutledge and Billy Campbell ("Once and Again") as Jordan Collier.  In addition, Jenni Baird ("Conviction") joins the cast as the new NTAC Director, Meghan Doyle.

THE 4400 explores the travails of the 4400 people who all at once returned in a ball of light to Earth; though the returnees had not aged physically, many of them reappeared with dramatic abilities ranging from enhanced reflexes to precognition.  NTAC (National Threat Assessment Command) is the government agency responsible for keeping track of the returnees and investigating all things related to the 4400.  As we begin season four, widespread distribution of the drug promicin has created a dangerous new world, a world in which special abilities are no longer the exclusive province of the 4400.  Fifty percent of those who take the shot pay the price with their lives, while those who survive are now ostracized by a government determined to rid the world of promicin forever.  Promicin distribution was only the first step though, and what's next on Jordan Collier's agenda will require an even bigger leap of faith on behalf of believers and non-believers alike.

The debate over the use of Promicin takes center stage this season at http://www.cbspressexpress.com/siteadmin/actions/www.The4400.com. Upon reaching the Official Site, fans will be guided through a number of pro- and anti-Promicin websites featuring video, blogs and community discussions, before being asked to pledge their support behind one side prior to the season premiere. Returning this season will be Maia's Diary, a breakthrough interactive Flash application that plants show spoilers and hidden games in weekly entries from the 10-year-old clairvoyant's diary.

Now available from Milan Records, The 4400: Music From the Television Series includes the unforgettable theme song, "A Place in Time," as well as the most prominent music from the first three seasons like Switchfoot's "This Is Your Life," Maroon 5's "She Will Be Loved," Billie Holiday's "Cheek to Cheek," and the song "Shy Baby," written and performed by series star Jacqueline McKenzie.

Available in June 2007 from Titan Books, The 4400: The Official Companion Seasons 1 & 2 is the official in-depth companion to the first two seasons of the hit sci-fi drama series, packed with behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew, plus scores of exclusive pictures, including a 16-page color gallery. Also featuring a comprehensive episode guide, this is the indispensable companion to THE 4400.
