“I Married A Mind Reader” #011– When Allison comes down with a common
cold, her medicine allows her to hear and see uncommon things, while watching one of
her favorite TV shows from the 60’s, Allison is able to tap into the minds of the actors,
and reveal the real death behind the leading lady, on MEDIUM, Monday, March 14,
2005 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on NBC. Duane Clark directed the episode written by
Rene Echevarria, one of the series’ executive producers.
Sick at home, Allison spends her days watching re-runs of an old favorite
comedy of hers and ends up dreaming herself into the past where she participates in
the behind-the-scenes lives of her favorite comedy couple, Abilgail (Frances Fisher) and
Henry (Paul Blackthorne). When Allison tells Joe about her dream, he reassures her it is
only a reaction to her medicine. Allison is convinced the dreams mean something since
in real life Henry had been accused of Abilgail’s murder and was serving a life sentence.
Through her dreams Allison discovers that a third player was involved in the death of
Abilgail. As the plot thickens Allison becomes less and less convinced that Henry had a
hand in Abilgail’s death. Now she is fighting to give the aged Henry his last years of life
back, as a free man.
