CBS KICKS OFF PREMIERE WEEK EARLY WITH LOOKS AT CUSTOMIZED SHOW PROMOS FOR “SUPER BOWL LVIII”

CBS releases early looks of Super Bowl spots for CBS Originals GHOSTS, TRACKER, FIRE COUNTRY and SO HELP ME TODD. The spots were custom-made to air during SUPER BOWL LVIII as the culmination of the Network’s campaign for CBS Premiere Week, which kicks off with the debut of TRACKER after the game.

“There’s a lot of really great creative running during the Super Bowl, so our job is to stand out in a way that’s uniquely CBS but authentically represents the shows,” said Mike Benson, president and chief marketing officer at CBS. “I think we’ve achieved that in partnering with the writers and stars on GHOSTS, FIRE COUNTRY and SO HELP ME TODD to shoot these fun new scripted promos that are in the authentic voices of their shows and characters. And TRACKER’s super-sized [60 second] spot features Alicia Keys’ rousing song “Underdog,” to ensure we grab people’s attention about the show and its post-game debut.”

In the GHOSTS spot, the spirits have an amusing meta moment watching and reacting to the classic feature film “Ghost” alongside Sam and Jay (GHOSTS series stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar) while also discussing why they believe Woodstone Mansion would be a lot more fun for them if Jay were a ghost too.

The FIRE COUNTRY Super Bowl spot, to run during half-time, is inspired by the motivational locker-room talks given by coaches to their players during a tough match-up – and features FIRE COUNTRY creator and star Max Thieriot taking the audience on an emotional ride as he depicts what goes through the minds of our heroes the moment they face the fire. The spot was directed by Cole Walliser who has over 20 million fans across social media and is well known for directing the red carpet Glambot.
