Michael Lahoud

Michael Lahoud is a former professional soccer player and an analyst for CBS Sports Golazo Network, serving as an analyst for the nightly news and highlights show SCORELINE and working across additional Network studio shows, including MORNING FOOTY and BOX 2 BOX.

 

Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Lahoud moved from to Annandale, Virginia, when he was 6 years old. He played collegiate soccer at Wake Forest, where he played in 95 career games and won a national championship. During his college years, he also played with Carolina Dynamo in the USL Premier Development League.

 

Drafted No. 9 overall in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, Lahoud played in the league from 2009-15, playing for Chivas USA and the Philadelphia Union. He also played for FC Cincinnati and San Antonio FC and has four caps with Sierra Leone’s national team.

 

As a broadcaster, Michael served as an analyst for Austin FC beginning with the 2021 season and worked with MLS, and ESPN’s ACC and Longhorn Networks.
