Ali Riley is an analyst for CBS Sports’ soccer coverage, including Attacking Third and UEFA Women’s Champions League Today, following a trailblazing 16-year professional career and a historic international run as a back line stalwart with the New Zealand Women’s National Team where she appeared in five Women’s World Cups and made 163 appearances, second-most in team history.
A Los Angeles native and Stanford University alum, Riley was selected 10th overall in the 2010 WPS Draft by FC Gold Pride, where she earned Rookie of the Year honors. Her club career spanned the globe, with championship-winning stints at Western New York Flash, FC Rosengård in Sweden, Chelsea FC, Bayern Munich, Orlando Pride, and Angel City FC, where she served as inaugural captain.
