JIM NANTZ LEADS CBS SPORTS' NOMINATIONS FOR 2005 SPORTS EMMY AWARDS

The Masters®, THE NFL ON CBS and The NCAA Basketball Championship Highlights CBS Sports' Other Nominations

Jim Nantz leads the list of CBS Sports' 11 nominations for the 2005 Sports Emmy Awards by earning a nomination in the category of OUTSTANDING SPORTS PERSONALITY -- Play-by-Play.

Among the other nominations for CBS Sports include the Network's coverage of the 2005 Masters®, in which Tiger Woods won his fourth green jacket in a playoff, for OUTSTANDING LIVE SPORTS SPECIAL; THE NFL ON CBS for OUTSTANDING LIVE SPORTS SERIES; and CBS Sports' coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship for OUTSTANDING EDITING (Tease), as well as two nominations for THE FINAL FOUR SHOW (Hoop Dreams), which garnered nominations for OUTSTANDING WRITING and OUTSTANDING LONG FEATURE.

CBS Sports' coverage of the 2005 "Tour de France" also earned two nominations: OUTSTANDING LIVE EVENT TURNAROUND and OUTSTANDING WRITING.

Rounding out the Network's nominations are Rich Eisen, who earned a nomination for OUTSTANDING SPORTS PERSONALITY -- Studio Host, for his hosting duties for CBS Sports' late night coverage of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, as well as his hosting duties for The NFL Network; "Golf on CBS" for its use of "SwingVision" for OUTSTANDING INNOVATIVE TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT; and the Network's NFL pre-game show, THE NFL TODAY, for OUTSTANDING MUSIC COMPOSITION/DIRECTION/LYRICS (Rise to Glory -- THE NFL TODAY tease).
