“COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY” TRAVELS TO COLLEGE STATION FOR KICK-OFF OF 2013 "SEC ON CBS" SEASON FEATURING ALABAMA VS. TEXAS A&M

Analyst Brian Jones Joins COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY

 

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, CBS Sports’ pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show, is hitting the road for the biggest early-season match-up of the college football season as defending National Champion Alabama takes on Texas A&M, the only team to beat them in 2012.  The much anticipated re-match kicks off CBS Sports’ 13th consecutive season of national coverage of Southeastern Conference Football on Saturday, Sept. 14 (3:30 PM, ET).

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY will broadcast live from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas from 2:30-3:30 PM, ET leading up to kick-off and following the game.  Also, CBS Sports Network will air a special edition of their weekly studio show SEC TONIGHT from 7:00-7:30 PM, ET focusing on Alabama-Texas A&M.

Joining COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY is analyst Brian Jones, a former NFL and University of Texas linebacker.  Jones was an All-Southwest Conference linebacker during his senior year in 1990 and went on to a five-year NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints.  He joins host Tim Brando along with analyst Spencer Tillman, who begin their 15th year together in studio this season.  Tony Barnhart and Archie Manning will continue to serve as contributors to the show.

Jones joined CBS Sports Network in 2005 as a college football studio analyst and will continue to be part of the Network’s INSIDE COLLEGE FOOTBALL shows.  Jones also is co-host of CBS Sports Radio’s national evening show MOJO.

, Gary Danielson and reporter Tracy Wolfson will call the action for Alabama vs. Texas A&M.  CBS Sports continues to be the exclusive national network broadcaster of SEC home football games, showcasing the top conference match-ups with the “SEC Game of the Week.”  The SEC ON CBS schedule features a total of 16 games during the network’s 13-week season, including two doubleheaders and the SEC Championship on Saturday, Dec. 7 (4:00 PM, ET).  

CBS Sports also will stream the game on CBSSports.com and CBS Sports Mobile.
