2006 Masters Final-Round Rating/Share Highest of Other 2005 Final Rounds in Majors

CBS Sports' coverage of the 2006 Masters on Sunday, April 9 in which Phil Mickelson won his second green jacket in the last three years, earned an average overnight household rating/share of 9.0/19. This year's final-round rating/share was up +23% from the last time Mickelson won his first Masters title in 2004 (7.3/18) and down only -13% from last year's dramatic one-hole playoff when Tiger Woods won his fourth green jacket by beating Chris DiMarco (10.3/21).

CBS Sports' final-round coverage of the Masters peaked with a rating/share of 11.8/22 from 7:00-7:30 PM, ET.

This year's final-round coverage of the Masters was higher rated than any of the other final rounds of golf's majors in 2005: +84% higher than the 2005 British Open final round (4.9/14); +55% higher than the 2005 U.S. Open final round (5.8/14); and +53% higher than the 2005 PGA Championship final round (5.9/13).
