The Penultimate Episode of "Survivor: Vanuatu" Attracts 20 Million Viewers Heading Into Sunday's Finale
"CSI" Continues To Dominate the Competition, Topping the Combined Competition
"Without a Trace" Outrates "ER"
CBS continued its Thursday winning streak, winning the night in viewers and key demographics for the 12th consecutive week, according to final national Nielsen ratings for Dec. 9.
The penultimate episode of SURVIVOR: VANUATU won its time slot in households (11.7/18), viewers (20.04m), adults 18-34 (5.8/18), adults 18-49 (7.6/21) and adults 25-54 (8.8/22). CBS won both half-hours in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. This matches the second best adults 18-49 performance of SURVIVOR: VANUATU.

SURVIVOR has beaten "The OC" and "Joey"/"Will & Grace" every time the four programs have competed in households, viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. SURVIVOR has beaten "Joey" every week the two programs competed this season in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
The SURVIVOR: VANUATU finale will be broadcast live on Sunday (12) from 8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT, followed by the live SURVIVOR: VANUATU REUNION hosted by Jeff Probst.

CSI dominated its time period in households (18.4/28), viewers (29.83m), adults 18-34 (7.6/21), adults 18-49 (10.7/26) and adults 25-54 (13.0/28). CBS beat NBC, ABC and FOX combined in viewers (29.83m vs. 23.04m, +29%), adults 25-54 (13.0 vs. 11.0, +18%) and adults 18-49 (10.7 vs. 10.5, +2%). This is the sixth consecutive first run broadcast of CSI to top "The Apprentice" in adults 18-34.

WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (13.0/21), viewers (19.49m), second in adults 25-54 (7.9/19), adults 18-49 (6.5/17) and adults 18-34 (4.6/14). WITHOUT A TRACE has topped "ER" every week this season in viewers.

For the night, CBS was first in households (14.4/23), viewers (23.18m), adults 25-54 (9.9/23) and adults 18-49 (8.3/21) and tied with NBC in adults 18-34 (6.0/18, each). CBS has won all 12 Thursdays this season in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and every first run Thursday in adults 18-49.
