HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - (November 19, 2009) - Television's sexiest hit drama returns when THE TUDORS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON is crowned as a three-disc DVD set December 15 from Showtime Networks, CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.

"The racy, richly appointed series" (Los Angeles Times) follows Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Golden Globe®-nominated portrayal of the young King Henry VIII, a ruler whose reign changed the course of history forever.  An artist, musician, theologian and sportsman, King Henry VIII was the perfect Renaissance ruler, but the failure of his wives to produce a male heir brought out his darker side.  At the height of his political power during the show's junior season, Henry is beset by difficulties - both personal and professional.  After a series of divorces, beheadings and an internal uprising within the Tudor Dynasty, the season closes with Henry finding a new lover -- Katherine Howard (Tamzin Merchant), a very young and beautiful woman. Featuring supporting performances from Henry Cavill as the Duke of Suffolk, James Frain as Thomas Cromwell, and singer Joss Stone as Henry's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, THE TUDORS garnered four 2009 EmmyÒ nominations and a win for Outstanding Cinematography for a One Hour Series.  The show's fourth and final season will debut in Spring 2010.
