CBS Sports will host a conference call on Tuesday, Sept. 1 (3:00 PM, ET/12:00 Noon, PT) featuring Sean McManus, President, CBS News and Sports and Executive Producer of THE NFL ON CBS, as well as lead THE NFL ON CBS team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.
As CBS Sports marks the 50th year of broadcasting the National Football League, veteran CBS Sports announcers Pat Summerall and John Madden also will participate in the call.
The CBS Television Network, the home of Super Bowl XLIV, begins its Golden Anniversary 50th year of broadcasting the NFL on Sunday, Sept. 13 (12:00 Noon-4:00 PM, ET). And, CBS Sports'pre-game studio show, THE NFL TODAY, kicks off its 42nd season (12:00 Noon-1:00 PM, ET), hosted by James Brown, with analysts Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe, NFL TODAY "General Manager" Charley Casserly, as well as reporters Lesley Visser and Sam Ryan, live from New York City.
